TBL
The fine grained boron alloyed special structural steels TBL and TBL PLUS combine good processability and excellent wear resistance.
TBL und TBL PLUS are formable in a hot condition and possess good cold formability in a normalised condition. Both grades are suitable for standard welding and cutting procedures.
Owing to the boron alloying, the TBL grades can be quenched in water, oil or polymer dispersion without problems. Thus TBL and TBL PLUS are specially suited for construction where high wear resistance is required. TBL grades are also applied in an unquenched condition where moderate wear requirements are present, e.g. concrete mixers.
These steel grades have been tried and tested in various applications in agricultural machinery for example in harrows, balers and ploughs and also in construction machinery.
